Xero export/API to include rate type

Would be good to be able to see the rate type in the description of the transfer over to xero either through API or xero export report.

Hi James, this is currently available on the static reports if you group this by Rate ID (when running report, Rate ID is the default grouping) and set the Map to Field to include the Rate Description. Map to Field is available in the Manage section, under the Agency Defined Fields tab.
In our next release we will providing the Xero file groupings to our API connection to Xero. Watch this space, this will be coming very soon.

77089 thanks. the issue is i also need to have placement ID in the description of the invoice on xero not just the rate description.
I don't currently use the xero API as it wasn't working for us before (it kept losing connection, and then told us we ran out of license keys or something like that). I have been holding off retrying this until the new Xero API release happens. I was planning to give it another go after that. Currently we load all invoices and bills manually from the static xero export reports

James Kindred In an upcoming release (we are aiming for evening of 12/09/2024), on the sales export and API you will be able to include a separate selectable field for Reference and Description. At present in Map to Field Reference and Description includes the same selected field.
The enhancements to the API settings will also be available in this upcoming release. Release notes will be sent when the release is confirmed :-)
